Emea cost accountant

New 01 December Genève, Geneva Temp

This individual will be accountable for key finance initiatives and projects in the EMEA Region including but not limited to:

*Oversee the manufacturing and supply chain flows of transactions under Swiss and USGAAP.
*Assist in managing the Outside Accounting firms, which deal with the books of the existing and future legal entities.
*Support development of internal financial controls to ensure integrity of financial data, protection of corporate assets, and adherence of corporate policies in the region.
*Assist in internal review of monthly / quarterly and annual financial reports as well as related support for tax reporting.
*Drive activities to ensure SOX compliance.
*Assist in the preparation of Management reporting for the region by analyzing and interpreting operation results and recommending plans to improve financial performance.
*Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
*Assist in potential ERP implementation of EU subsidiaries.
*Special projects as needed.

6 months assignment

A very exciting position

Master Degree or equivalent
Qualified Accountant or strong Accounting background.
Professional experience of at least 10 years.
Experience of working in complex environment.
Fluency in English - Other languages would be a plus.

*Ability to work independently and be managed on a remote basis.

*Technically strong with a proven ability to make sound financial decisions.

*Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage conflicting demands and appropriately prioritize.

*Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary for daily interaction with senior management, both within the country and across global corporate functions.

*Ability to solve problems and think creatively - capacity to provide pragmatic solutions and have the drive and leadership to implement ideas through to successful conclusion.

*Excellent analytical skills applied to a broad range of business and industry issues.

*Demonstrated customer services focus - understanding of customer needs and desire to meet/exceed expectations.
