Group controller (m/f)

Our clients is an important player in the Financial Services industry. They are currently looking for a strong Group Controller to support the Group CFO to drive the Finance organisation in the right direction

Reporting to the CFO your main responsibilities will be:

Oversee the preparation of revenue invoices, ensuring they are aligned with contracts and compliant with local VAT requirementsOversee the cash-flow forecasts of the underlying entities and the GroupPrepare monthly variance reporting (based on the accounts team bookings) and provide accurate information to the internal business unitsOversee preparation of Group budget and underlying entity budgets and BU budgetsUnderstand and control the Employee Participation Plan and related payments, provisions and amendments, as well as provide Swiss employees with annual tax reports.Prepare the accounting, tax, and reporting for the employee investment vehiclesOversee and provide guidance on the Group Taxes and VATManage and support a small teamQuestion the structure of the Group and identify simpler and better practices across the group

ACCA, CPA qualified Controller looking for a fast track career

Higher degree in accounting, finance or related field combined with a CPA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification

Proven track record in accounting with strong knowledge in IFRS (USGAAP and UK GAAP would be ideal)

You have a solid and thorough knowledge of VAT and other jurisdictions

Understanding of the legal and regulatory compliance framework for the asset management industry (eg. AIFMD, FATCA)

You have strong communication skills and are fluent in English (written and spoken) and ideally German (good written and spoken)

You have a high level of energy, you are ambitious and a self-starter with the ability to quickly grasp concepts and innovate

Flexible team player but equally able to work independently with minimum supervision

You have the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines, whilst maintaining commitment to quality

You enjoy acting as a Finance Business partner and you have excellent organisational, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

Advanced excel skills are ideal
