Head of legal private banking

A renowned Swiss private bank based in Geneva.

Heading a team of 12 lawyers and paralegals in Geneva and coordinating actions with legal specialists based at various offices globally.Advising senior management on legal and reputational risks relating to the division.Advising the management and staff on Swiss and international legislative and regulatory changes concerning their business area and helping them to keep abreast of these changes.Carrying out projects to further develop the organization of the Legal Department and the tools and processes used by the team.Helping to implement regulatory projects that have a direct impact on the activities of the staff (e.g. FinSA, MiFid II, CRS and data protection).Supporting the team of legal experts in their other activities and further developing the legal function's cross-departmental activity.Reporting to the Group's General Counsel and senior management.

Master's in Law and/ or equivalent qualification as well as Swiss bar admission.At least 10 years of experience working for a Swiss law firm and in Swiss private banking, five of which should have been spent managing a team. International experience would be a plus.A definite interest in banking and financial regulations and legislation in the area of private banking.Capacity to lead a team and with the expertise to develop and motivate the members of that team.Ability to coordinate the work of colleagues operating outside of Switzerland. The chosen candidate will also need to have an international outlook and show the necessary sensitivity when working and dealing with people of different nationalities.Ability to manage sensitive cases and coordinate the actions of outside lawyers used by the Bank.

Fluent in French and English. German would be a plus.

The candidate will be required to reside in Switzerland.
