Regulatory reporting & financial statements specialist

To strengthen their Regulatory Reporting team, we are currently looking for a Regulatory Reporting & Financial Statements Specialist.

- Be responsible for all financial regulatory and statistical reporting, reporting directly to the Financial Controller
- Supervise a financial analyst who produces certain routine aspects of the regulatory reporting
- Deal with the preparation of the annual financial statements for the bank: production of balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flows as well as comments and numerous notes
- Act as a primary contact for the external auditors and play an essential role in the coordination between auditors, finance team and other business areas
- Prepare monthly capital forecast together with comments explaining actual numbers and variance to forecast
- Act as secretary for the Treasury committee, co-ordinate meetings, prepare and circulate minutes, ensure the meeting is properly organised
- Work closely with IT managers and developers in order to find the best solutions for Regulatory Reporting projects and assist with other finance team projects, always keeping in mind to reduce risks and time spent on daily tasks

Looking for a Regulatory Reporting & Financial Statements Specialist

- Proven experience in a regulatory reporting environment (preferably Swiss), with ability to, promptly interpret and implement changes as they arise
- Good understanding of UK regulatory requirements including knowledge of material differences to local requirements and ability to effectively liaise with Group teams in the UK to collaborate on issue resolution / process change
- Develop effective relationships with a variety of key internal and external stakeholders including: CFO, Treasury department, Technology teams, Operations & Finance, External auditors and regulatory IT system providers. Communication with regulators from the SNB and FINMA will also be required from time to time
- At least 5 years experience in a (preferably Swiss) banking environment in a Regulatory reporting role
- Strong user of Avaloq and FIRE
- Proven record of success in managing Analyst level colleagues to increase their knowledge and understanding of the risks measured and reporting produced, to leverage their experience, to help them evolve on their career paths
- Fluent in English, French would be advantageous
and be able to interpret complex regulatory texts
- Strong team player, strong communicator across a wide spectrum of key clients internally and externally, able to work autonomously and manage their time and agenda to strict regulatory deadlines
