Senior gl accountant

-The Senior GL Accountant is responsible for monthly close of entities distributed by Manager within EMEA in accordance with the corporate time table.

-He/she manages daily accounting; prepares transfer pricing calculation; prepares non-AP payments; manages cash availability; payroll entries and monthly reconciliations.

-He/she ensures compliance with Corporate SOX procedures, company policies and local legal / tax regulations and can second the accounting manager when he/she is not present in the office.

-General Ledger processing on a timely basis by following the corporate calendar.

Some main items include: -Bank entries and reconciliation -Payroll accounting, payment of salary to employees and benefits providers -Fixed asset module in compliance with US GAAP / Local GAAP -Bonus and vacation accrual -Intercompany billing including quarterly transfer price calculation -Monthly reconciliations and to clear reconciliation items on a timely basis -Provide meaningful explanations on quarterly balance sheet flux -Maintain effective controls and compliance with company policies and Sarbanes-Oxley procedures -Ensure that all local declarations are properly filed on a timely basis -Prepare and maintain the Monthly close folders with significant explanation of variance -Identify and continually challenge current processes for improvement opportunities -Lead projects on process improvements or develop and implement improvements

He/she manages daily accounting

-Qualified Accountant and/or University Graduate in Finance and/or Accounting -Experience of entities with high level of complexity such as entities with various inventory movements -Ability to understand the whole picture (Tax, VAT, USGAAP, Local GAAP, local tax etc.) and to offer solutions to management regarding questions on complex transactions -7+ years experiences in Finance / Accounting (US GAAP/ local GAAPs/French GAAP) and at least 5 years within an international environment -Experience with ERP and proficient in Excel -Fluency in English and French required, additional language(s) a plus

-Must have strong interpersonal skills and must be able to interact with employees at all level effectively and on professional manner -Autonomy in problems solving and able to work independently with little or no supervision -Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills who can interact with employees at all level effectively and in a professional manner -Self-motivated, detailed oriented, proactive, flexible, and ability to deal with competing priorities and multiple deadlines, be focused and able to perform in a fast-paced environment
