Senior vat specialist emea (m/w)

You will assist the business to implement new Sales initiatives in line with the EU VAT regulations. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining an effective and efficient framework of operational tax compliance with established company policies and local regulations. As a key member of EMEA Tax team you will work closely with the EMEA accounting team, procurement, external providers and external auditors. You must demonstrate good business judgment and the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

* Tax advisor to the business, working as a consultant for tax-related issues and advise company on the tax impact and related cost to business decisions

* Manage VAT Compliance for all EMEA entities and oversee the preparation of VAT returns prepared internally or by outside advisors

* Minimize tax liabilities and compliance issues by routinely completing tax audits, maintaining tax compliance and adhering to various tax laws

* Manage VAT audit and relationship witht with VAT authorities

* Identify tax planning opportunities

* Maintain current knowledge of tax laws and understanding of local GAAP requirements and minimize tax exposure

* Manage outside advisors, tax experts, required for specific tax-related projects

* Perform quarter end activities for reporting purposes

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in FinanceProven team leadership skillsExtended knowledge of indirect taxesMinimum five years of relevant experience in a multinational environmentPro-active, hands on mentality, convincing, motivated, team playerFluent in English;Good organisational and priority setting skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently within tight deadlines and deal with ambiguity
