Our client is a stock listed global company within the manufacturing industry. They are present in more than 10 countries and have more than 20 plants across the globe. For their international office in the Schaffhausen area they are looking for a strong Controller to support the business.

Reporting to the VP Controlling your main responsibilities will be:Work closely with senior leadership management team to identify and manage business risksProvide financial analysis support and estimates of the month and quarterly results to the business unit senior management team, and communicate of potential issues and opportunities to operations managementEnsure compliance in the presentation of results by calculating the statement of income, balance sheet, cash flow according to USGAAP and IFRSSupport the annual operating plan and monitor progress throughout the yearRecommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of the departmentsPrepare strategic analysis of existing business and product portfolio to develop the understanding of profitability, potential risks and/or opportunities for improvementProvide the business leaders with quality management reports and commercial advice to optimize sales profitWork with other finance teams and managers to drive consensus across the business on new projectsTrack new projects and the capital expenditure processProvide analysis on financial viability of expansion business cases and projects, both new and existingEstablish key performance indicators, and provide analysis of standard cost variance and manufacturing costs per unit across the different plantsWork closely with sales and manufacturing to drive efforts to reduce working capitalProvide financial support for global sourcing decisionsParticipate in special and adhoc projectsEnsure that Business leaders are taking healthy financial decisions and that the company's overall financial targets are achievedDevelop metrics and tracking system for major cost drivers and define policies and procedures for all cost accounting activitiesEnsure compliance with the required standards, through the planning of internal and external audits, according to SOX

Strong FP&A background, USGAAP B2B environment

You have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration / Finance or Economics, ideally with an MBA or similar on top.

8+ years of experience within an international manufacturing environment, ideally within a US and B2B environment.

You are a self-starter who takes ownership of issues and drives towards a conclusion.

Flexible, solution oriented person who remains calm even during hectic and stressful situations

You have an excellent track record and proven analytical skills and the ability to develop financial reports, statements and projections.

Excellent interpersonal/networking and collaboration skills, including the ability to build relationships across all levels and across cultures within the organization. You are able to participate and facilitate group business meetings and are flexible to travel when needed

You are able to think critically and propose solutions. Additionally, you have a good understanding of manufacturing business operations, and are eager to add value in this field.

You have knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles in accordance with USGAAP and SOX.

Advanced Microsoft skills, especially in Excel and additionally experience with SAP.

Fluent level of English both written and spoken, French on top would be ideal. Any other languages would be considered a plus.

Exposure to senior management and part of strategic decision making for the Business Unit.
