Our client is the Swiss entity of a multinational company leader in its sector. The group employs several thousands of employees worldwide and over 100 people in Switzerland.

The role of the Finance & IT Director is to support the General Manager by both, leading the Finance function and working collaboratively with the Executive Team. The role is to enable the organization to grow and progress towards its vision through Executive Leadership and as Director of the Finance function as well as to deliver an outstanding service in a People, Customer and Society driven organization.

Primary Objectives of the role:

- To deliver the growth and profitability objectives of the Group's Swiss operation:Support the management team in making and implementing appropriate strategic choices to deliver the profitable growth for the business

- To lead the Finance function for the Swiss entity:Develop and maintain an appropriate financial control environmentEnsure appropriate capability and performance of finance personnelEnsure delivery of timely and accurate management informationEnsuring business compliance with the statutory and tax requirements of operating in SwitzerlandDeliver high quality financial analysis and support

- To lead the IT function for the Swiss entity:Develop and implement the required actions to support the Swiss IT strategy, in close cooperation with the Group IT, internal stakeholders and strategic suppliersSupport the daily IT operations providing support and ensuring a smoothly operating IT architecture and processes for all users

- To contribute to the overall leadership of the Swiss entity of the Group as part of the Executive Team:Supporting and challenging senior management colleaguesRunning an effective and expanding businessLeading budgeting and planning processesBuilding great relationships internally and externally with colleagues, suppliers and insurance partnersLiving the values and embracing the culture of the company helping to strengthen and embed these values not only in the Finance function but across the whole organization

Main responsibilities and accountabilities:Responsible for monthly management accounts with consolidation to the Group including KPI reporting, financial performance monitoring, financial control, day-to-day delivery of financial support and internal audit for PRC subsidiary companiesManage treasury and tax matters under the instructions of Group Tax and Treasury functionsAssist the General Manager to assess new business opportunities and handling any ad hoc projectsProvide advice and guidance to senior managers and promote financial awareness to maximize return on resources and investments by monitoring challenging financial and business performanceProduction of timely, clear, accurate results and compelling reports for senior management's approvalResponsible for the delivery of accurate, relevant and timely financial information to ensure sound decision makingManage, motivate and develop the Finance Team in SwitzerlandResponsible for adherence to Group standards and for ensuring financial controls are maintained and efficiencies are achieved within existing financial systems, processes and proceduresComply with all regulatory procedures applicable to the roleLead the budgeting and forecast process for the business and ensure robust business plans and forecasts are developed in line with regional targetsSupport of the EMEA Regional Finance Director as requiredDevelopment and implementation of systems, processes and procedures that delivers the financial controls to the scope required and within agreed time, scales, compliance with risk management and corporate governance requirementsDevelop and implement the required actions to support Swiss IT/ERP strategy, in close cooperation with the Group IT, internal stakeholders and strategic suppliersSupport the daily IT operations providing support and ensuring a smoothly operating IT architecture and processes for all users

Master Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalentQualified Chartered Accountant with good knowledge of International Accounting Standards10 years of post-qualification experience operating at a senior level in multinational service oriented organizations with experience in the Swiss marketLeadership experience with demonstrable results delivered through a teamSignificant experience in business decision support, organizational growth and developmentComputer literacy. Experience with the Implementation of ERP systems an assetFluency in French and English, with excellent communication skills in GermanStrong presentation and negotiation skillsVery good analytical and problem solving skillsChange management and business development mindset (commercial insights, push for results, team work, ability to developing others, strategic outlook)
