Head of accounting & shared services-emea

New 06 November Genève, Switzerland Perm

Our client is a multibillion global company with a European HQ. For their expansion plans in Europe we are searching for a new Head of Accounting & Shared Services. This position will be responsible for leading the Company's accounting and compliance function for the EMEA region, which represents a business generating close to $1B in sales. The Leader will manage a team of up to 100 employees over multiple recently established shared service locations and will oversee further centralization of functions, as appropriate.

Ensure quality of financial reporting and compliance in accordance with US GAAP/SOXLead the annual external audit effort as well as timely filing of all statutory reportsKey focus on improving the performance of the newly created shared service centersDevelop relevant key performance indicators to drive improvementsImplement automation tools to improve efficiency of workSeek proactive approaches to solving business needs/problemsPartner and actively collaborate with the various stakeholder to ensure full SLA satisfactionDevelop team member's skills and identify opportunities for further career development

EMEA scope role

Degree in Accounting or related field requiredA CPA or equivalent required, MBA preferredMust have at least 10-15 years of management experience leading a large shared service organizationProven experience in Accounting and US-GAAPStrong understanding of tax and related issues (transfer pricing, customs, etc.)Experience in building strong working relationships with key stakeholders throughout the organizationProven leadership skills with very strong communication skills (written and verbal)Solution and task orientated hands-on personality who is eager to drive improvementStrong analytical and problem-solving skills
