We are currently recruiting for a Regional Finance Director (EMEA)

Accounting, Controlling, Tax, Risk & Treasury

Responsible for guiding and developing the EMEA HQ Controlling team and act as key point of contact with HQ on global projects

Liaise with External Auditors for both Group parent and local entities

Preparation / Submission of Annual Group Statutory Accounts Packs for IFRS and local norms

Build and develop the team to create a highly effective Controlling organisation both at EMEA HQ and across the EMEA region

Manage direct and indirect tax compliance activities

Manage and plan group cash resources and FOREX strategy

Take responsibility for Business Insurances and Risk Management

Lead and maintain relationship with banks, insurances, outsourced providers in EMEA region

Advise and assist with business efficiencies in conjunction with regional and corporate management objectives

Maintain effective cost controls for areas of responsibility, ensuring that internal controls are effective and efficient

Processes & Projects

Lead EMEA Procurement team in coordination with Global team and HQ; responsible for delivery of significant cost saving through strategic procurement activities and overseeing the Source-to-Pay process

Support development and roll-out of global and regional policies, processes, controls

Initiate/lead other projects in the region

Regional Interactions and Business Partnering

Build strong working relationships with key functional and country business partners across EMEA in order to support growth and deliver change

Advise and assist with business efficiencies in conjunction with regional and corporate management objectives

Holder of an University Diploma in Finance /Economics or Professional Accounting Qualification with a proven high level of experience, statutory reporting experience


Prior experience in leading organizations in Europe through change as well as project management experience are required, as is successful track record of addressing and strengthening internal control structures and processes

Detailed understanding of IFRS is essential

Prior experience in pharmaceutical industry is a strong plus

Strong systems skills with experience of improving processes

Excellent understanding of financial systems and processes paired with track record of introducing process improvements and leading change resulting in higher effectiveness or efficiencies in the organization


Excellent skills in data analysis and presentation

Experience of financial systems implementation

Capable of building a cohesive and aligned accounting operation, motivated and incentivised to deliver the right level of support to the business

Excellent matrix management skills

Commercially astute with a strong understanding of processes and systems

Experience of working in/managing a multi-national team

Experience of tax issues. Audit background

European language skills including English

Able to articulate and deliver a clear departmental vision aligned to European Group goals

Excellent interpersonal and communication, problem solving, diplomacy and influencing skills- able to develop strong cross regional relationships

Able to inspire, develop, coach and motivate team to deliver excellent performance
